Michael Bogdanffy-Kriegh is currently Board President of the NY Society for Ethical Culture and serves on the AEU Leadership Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from the University of Virginia and has his own architectural practice whose projects include 262 affordable homes in the Bronx, a Community Center for St. Jerome's Church (serving a large Mexican-American congregation in the Bronx) and a lead-free safe house currently under construction in Brooklyn. Mr. Bogdanffy-Kriegh has presented two technical papers on Space Station Design; space stations he has collaborated on with his mentor, Michael Kalil, are part of the Museum of Modern Art's collection. In addition, he serves as Second Vice-Chair (chair of the land use committee) of Community Board 1 in Brooklyn. In the past, he was member of the Board of the Michael Kalil Foundation for Smart Design, and of the Steering and Executive Committees of the Live/Work Coalition of New York (which he helped organize).
