Bart Worden is the Leader of the Ethical Culture Society of Westchester in White Plains. He has a bachelor's degree from Hope College, with a major in Philosophy of Religion. In 1983, he obtained a Masters Degree in social work from NYU and then served as a social worker and psychotherapist for adults with psychiatric disabilities. For nine years, he served as director of The Guidance Center's Rochelle House day treatment program, and continues to serve the organization as their Assistant Executive Director. His wife, Ruthanne introduced him to the Ethical Society twenty years ago. Their son, Gary, is a graduate of the Sunday School and their younger child, Jeff, is in the Upper Form class. As part of his training for Ethical Culture Leadership, Bart attended the Humanist Institute in New York City, from which he graduated in 1997. During the last two years of his training, he worked as a leader-intern at the New York Society for Ethical Culture in Manhattan.
